Anchored on the Range is a program within the 501c3 non-profit, Anchored619 in Allegiance, that offsets the costs required for children and adults to access a range of nature-based therapeutic settings, specialized equipment, equine related activities, and the use of equine movement which will be utilized to regain or acquire functional skills, increase independence, and strengthen mental health to enhance quality of life.

The term Hippotherapy refers to how occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech-language pathology professionals use evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning in the purposeful manipulation of equine movement as a therapy tool to engage sensory, neuromotor and cognitive systems to promote functional outcomes. 
"OT, PT and SLP professionals use evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning in the purposeful manipulation of equine movement to engage the sensorimotor and neuromotor systems to create functional change in their patients. Used with other neuromotor and sensorimotor tools/techniques, hippotherapy is one tool used in a patient’s integrated plan of care in occupational, physical or speech-language therapy."
